Fellowship Program
USDA invites teachers and administrators from Hispanic-Serving School Districts to apply to the Hispanic-Serving Institutions Fellowship Program. The goal of the program is to increase the Fellows’ understanding of USDA and other federal agencies and to identity collaborative projects. Our office organizes regional workshops for teachers and administrators interested in learning and applying. We partner with numerous federal agencies to educate HSIs on the application process, answer questions from participants, and benchmark grant recipients.
Student Programs
USDA provides high school students with the opportunity to intern in USDA in Miami, FL and attend a leadership development program in Washington, DC. After completing the program Agricultural Ambassadors represent USDA at their respective high schools and serve as a resource to students interested in agricultural-related fields.
