Ramiro Porras, Jr.

Ramiro Porras Jr. is the USDA-HSI Regional Director for Southern California - servicing HSIs north of the U.S-Mexico border and south of Santa Barbara.
Ramiro works to create strategic partnerships between USDA and HSIs. He assists students, faculty, and staff in accessing USDA educational, professional, and institutional development programs.
Ramiro is co-hosted at the California State University - San Bernardino and San Bernardino Valley College.
In 2004, Ramiro participated in the USDA-HSI Fellowship Program in Washington, DC.
Ramiro earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies and a master’s degree in education from California State University - San Bernardino.
